Antifonario visigótico mozárabe de la Catedral de León: f. 100r (S. Tirsus) gives the text:
Accipite iocunditatem gloriae vestrae, alleluia
gratias agentes Deos (sic!), alleluia
qui vos ad caelestia regna vocavit, alleluia alleluia alleluia.
You can find the same first line also in: Breviarium Gothicum PL 86, 1234 (S. Servandi et Germani).
I think: Forming the Pentecost octave the same text was "borrowed" as introit for Pentecost Tuesday (AMS 108).
Does anybody have an idea
- if there may be other (old-gallikan) sources which stood between this "move"?
- why an ordinary text from the Sanctoral part moves to the pithy baptism liturgy in Pentecost octave with an elaborated thelogy?
