I'm working on free fonts of St. Gall neumes for the Gregorio project. So far there are two fonts, SGModern, which is mostly based on the hard work from the monks from the Bellaigues abbey (about 200 neumatic glyphs) and I've added further 130 neumatic glyphs in the same style, and Gregall, where I'd like the font to have ancient style and am trying to use exact shapes from the manuscripts (Cantatorium, Hartker antiphonary, Einsiedeln 121, Sg. Gall 339 and Bamberg gradual of St. Emmeram).
I'd like to have first complete coverage of Cardine's Table of Neumatic Signs of St. Gall and if that is done, complete most common neumatic elements, which can't be easily combined from other neumatic elements plus prepunctis and subpunctis. The SGModern font right now doesn't have any significative letters, the Gregall font is missing about 70 neumatic glyphs compared to SGModern.
I have a couple of questions regarding the neumes and would appreciate help with finding the remaining 70 neumatic glyphs in the manuscripts, or at least some of those, primarily the few ones still missing from Cardine's table. Have skimmed already most of the manuscripts myself, but there are various shapes I have not found yet. As for the questions I need to show the glyphs I'm talking about, I wrote my questions and request for help in LuaLaTex, with the PDF of the questions and complete table of the two fonts in here (request for help). Je pense qu'une méthode efficace pour trouver les références des graphies signalées par Dom Cardine serait de parcourir les articles de la collection Beiträge zur Gregorianik, en particulier les articles de Rupert Fisher (pour commencer !). Les graphies étudiées y sont référencées avec précision.
Peut-être y avez vous accès...Dans la négative, il faudrait savoir si cette collection a été numérisée et, dans l'affirmative, se renseigner sur les conditions d'accès.
