Dear collective wisdom,
A colleague has asked whether the Advent Matins Antiphons "Nox praecessit dies autem" and "Scientes quia hora set iam" (Sundays/Dom. 1 or 2) were sung in Rome at the beginning of the 16th century. Unfortunately Cappella Sistina 27 is of little help, as are the pre-1300 Roman sources on the Cantus Database. I appreciate any advice from those who have worked on late chant sources in Rome.
