This evening I would like to present you Father Stiliyan, a monk of the Bačkovo Monastery who was as a typikar responsible for the divine services in this monastery of the Rhodope Mountains.

You can listen to a complete recording which we made of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom on 6 August 2002 (the feast of transfiguration):

The skript in German:

If you would like to read more about Stiliyan, there is one chapter in my book. You find an extract here:

Because Father Stiliyan died in March the last year, I published together with Deniza Popova an epitaph at the Bulgarien-Jahrbuch which will be published soon (you will be able to download the article at my academia.edu page). There is as well my transcription of Father Stiliyan's "Otče naš", which you will listen to in this recording (playlist track 17).

I will let you know here as soon as the print version of the epitaph is available.
