  • This is quite lovely. But I will not believe that the BAV is serious about helping scholars until they digitize manuscripts such as MS Cappella Sistina 15, which is almost wholly illegible in microfilm, but fairly legible in the flesh, and would probably be fairly legible in digital photos.This would also help with preservation, since most of the CS manuscripts are huge and heavy objects that inevitably suffer more from being pulled out of the shelves and carried around than most of the MSS in this list.
