Je transmets ici un commentaire de Luisa Nardini sur le Ms. XV.05005 de la "Universiteitsbibliotheek Vrije Universiteit" d"Amsterdam.
Luisa Nardini :
"Second (for me) 15th century Dutch manuscript with the communion Sint lumbi vestri. This is a rare piece: an old-Roman communion that was never gregorianized and that appears outside of Rome only in 11th-12th century Beneventan manuscripts and in two (thus far) un-notated Dutch manuscripts, but with the text of Gregorian and Ambrosian antiphons. And thanks to Dominique Gatté for flagging the library website. Here is a link to the manuscript (the communion is on folio 249)":

Thank you for the synoptic reproduction. It is wonderful! I published about the Roman and Beneventan versions of the melody in Acta Musicologica (2010). What I find puzzling is the presence of this communion in northern Europe. Again, the piece is not found in most Gregorian sources, except for the Beneventan and the Ducth/Belgian ones. On the failed transmission see also James McKinnon, The Advent Project.
Le tableau ci-dessous donne les versions ROM (Vat lat 5319 et St Pierre F 22) et Bénévent 34, avec une mélodie juste retouchée pour être grégorianisée:
Thank you for posting it here, Dominique. Maybe some of our colleagues may contribute to dissolve the mystery...
