I am a PhD fellow at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). My research project concerns the transmission of the Byzantine music, with a particular focus on the oral liturgical chant tradition of the Sicilian-Albanian community of Piana degli Albanesi (Palermo). Therefore, I am working on a comparative analysis between written and oral sources, in order to shed new light on the history and development of this particular Byzantine chant tradition.
