Dear colleagues and friends,

the extraordinary and exciting finding of the so called "Trossingen lyre" raised new questions concerning performance practice of the early medieval lyre.

Within an international symposion at Constance renowned archaeologists, instrument makers, scholars of german language, musicologists and performers will discuss for the first time usage and performance pratice of the early medieval lyre.

A concert by Benjamin Bagby, Grame Lawson and Stefan Johannes Morent will be included in the symposion.
