Missale et lectionarium ambrosianum

Lectionary Readings of Ambrose of Milan

This set of readings, too sparsely preserved to really be termed a lectionary, have been culled
from the preserved sermons of Ambrose of Milan.  This set of readings may be taken as
one form of usage in the Western Church in the late fourth and early fifth centuries AD.

The Missale Ambrosianum

This is actually a listing of the contents of the Missale Ambrosianum, (Missale Ambrosianum: Latinum et Italicum.
Milan: Daverio, 1966) which is the descendant of the ancient Latin rite used in the Cathedral of Milan, supposedly
originating with St. Ambrose.  It is rich with scriptural quotations and allusions.
