  • I would concur with the hypothesis based on both the text script and notation that this is a Central European source and the possibility that it might be Bohemian. I'll keep my eyes open.

    The hymn "Ave gemma virtuosa Dorothea vernans rosa mundae vitae patens glosa sis pro nobis speciosa interventrix gratiosa" appears in central European sources, so Jason Stoessel's assessment of a Germanic/Austrian source - based on the notation - does look plausible to me. Maybe Bohemian?

  • Many thanks, Eric, for posting this. Would it be possible to get a larger and more complete image of this fragment? The note-shapes are clear, but so many other details are too small to make out.
