This Doxastikon, which has to be performed now for the Vesper of the dormition of Theotokos, is one of the oldest chants in the book Sticherarion whose melos passes through all the eight echoi and finally returns to the first (α'—πλ α'—β—πλ β'—γ'—υαρ—δ'—πλ δ'—α').

I analysed once the model in my doctoral thesis (pp. 147-154):

There is a very complex version composed by Iakovos the Protoposaltes in his Doxastarion argon. Because only a few singers have the power and also because it is too long for celebrations today, only two versions in the "fast sticheraric melos" are sung:

1) That of Petros Peloponnesios dates to the 18th century (Lampadarios of the Ecumenical Patriarchate):

2) That of Konstantinos Pringos is a realization of the 1930s:

You can follow the transcription according Karas' method by Lykourgos Angelopoulos, or here another print edition of Pringos' realization (in PDF).

The second file contains 4 versions:

Georgios of Crete (1890s).
