Marginal strokes in the Florence MS

Here's a query about the Florence MS. Does anyone know if anyone has done any work on the occasional double strokes one sees in the margins (particularly evident in fascicle 5)? They look something like this: // but are usually much more angled, sometimes almost horizontal. Has anyone proposed what these may mean? I am wondering if they may be indications of proofreading, suggesting correction, and in my brief and incomplete scouring I can usually find something in the music to suggest a correction has been made, or may need to be made. See, for example, the two such indications in the right margin of this image of f. 170r:
