Leonor Zozaya has a History Ph.D at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM, Spain, Europeus Doctorate) where she has taught Sciences and Historiographical Techniques (Palaeography etc. 2006-2011). She also teaches online and tutorials (ETD, FCD). After her Master in History in 1998, she started her research career in History with the help of a series of contracts and scholarships (FPI, I3P, etc.), at the Dept. of Historiographic Techniques and Sciences at the UCM, School of History, and at the Institute of History of the Superior Council of Scientific Research (CSIC). She took part in prestigious research projects outside of Spain for two months in Cambridge (Saint John’s College, United Kingdom) and a year in Paris (EHESS, CRH of the CNRS, France). As a result of her research she has published more than thirty articles and chapter books; amongst which two monographes: Papers, Notarial Offices and Archives: Scriveners of the Madrid Town Hall (1557-1610) (CSIC, 2011), and At the service of the Town Hall. The Madrid Town Archive During the Transition from the Middle Ages to the Modern Period (in press). She has participated in many national and foreign conferences as author and organizer. She is also co-editor of the following volumes: VIII Scientific Symposium on Early Medieval Documentation in Spain (Madrid, UCM, 2009); IX Scientific Symposium on Documentation: Death and its Written Testimonies (Madrid, UCM, 2011) y X Scientific Symposium on Documentation: The Calendar and Historic Dating, UCM (forthcoming). During some years she acted as member of the Technical Committee of the journal Documenta & Instrumenta (2007-2010).
