I forgot to congratulate Dominique on this discovery! I was too excited to transcribe the ballade. There's a consistent scribal quirk (error) in the ligature reading. Once that's figured out, all the rhythmic errors disappear.
Very interesting. When did you first hear about this? By the way it may not be the best course of action to remove the fragment from its host manuscript! Important information may be destroyed in the process ... If at all, it should only be done under close supervision with all changes being carefully documented for future research. Regards, KK
