"I'm not looking for any of it, the mention of Madrid 289 and Egerton was just related to your association with Dominique's CD. We know that the text of Puer natus wandered off into cantiones repertoire at some point (including BD).

"Dominique's version is from Egerton 2615 anyway (and melodically even further away). But this aside: it seems really impossible to find the Puer natus in Bethleem origins or even the earliest version. Plus the ambiguity in mode assignment - here an…"
